LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2023-2024

Local Scholarships will be available on March 1, 2024!

They will need to be returned back to the counselor's office by 3 pm on March 19, 2024

Mercedes Luna Elementary Education Memorial Scholarship
Requirements for this scholarship are as follows:

  • Must be pursuing a career in Elementary Education after High School.

Thelma M. Yandell & Edith L. Yandell Memorial Scholarship
Requirements for this scholarship are as follows:

  • Must demonstrate both academic achievement and need.
  • This scholarship will be awarded to one or more students.

Christina A. Harter Run, Lead, Achieve Scholarship Fund-This is an online scholarship please go to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks website. How to Apply for Scholarships
Applications open January 1, 2024

1. Go to https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfozarksscholarships
2. Click Create New Account. Use your personal email account. Do not use your school email
address. Do not use your parent’s email address.
3. After creating an account, follow the prompts and click Continue.
4. Read the instructions carefully. When you are ready, click Apply.

5. Complete all questions on the eligibility/universal application. At the bottom, click Submit.
6. You will receive a confirmation page which lists the scholarship opportunities that you were
found eligible for.
7. You are strongly encouraged to print your confirmation page. You will not see that
page again.
8. The confirmation page also lets you know if any of these scholarship opportunities require
supplemental questions. Not all scholarship opportunities will have supplemental
questions.
9. You must click Submit at the bottom of each supplemental question page of the individual
scholarship opportunity to be considered complete.
10. If a supplemental question is used on more than one scholarship opportunity, your response
will carry across the applications.
11. If you feel you should be eligible for any given scholarship opportunity, or have any questions,
please call 417-864-6199.

NOTE: Using your dashboard gives you great information on each opportunity.

  • $1,000 Scholarship-Deadline date for this scholarship will be March 24, 2024 This Scholarship is online only go to Community Foundation of the Ozarks website! If you need recommendation from your councelors you need to come and request one by March 20, 2024 By 3:00pm
  • Graduating Rogersville High School Senior, with a preference for students who have participated in Track, Cross Country, or Band
  • GPA or 3.0 or above, submit a transcript
  • ACT Score of 21 or above
  • Students must be applying to a two or four year accredited college, university, or technical training school
  • Demonstrate financial need; submit FAFSA-EFC
  • Describe your participation in community service, school activities, and work experience
  • One page essay addressing “How has running or another area of interest helped you to be a better competitor in all aspects of your life”
  • One letter of recommendation

  • $900.00-Deadline date for this scholarship will be March 24, 2024 This Scholarship is online only go to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks website. If you need recommendation letter from your councelors you need to request it by March 20, 2024 by 3:00pm
  • Graduating Rogersville High School Senior who participated in some type of sports activity during their high school career
  • Must rank in upper ½ of class; GPA or 2.0 or above, submit a transcript
  • Students must be applying to a two or four year accredited college, university, or technical training school
  • Demonstrate financial need; submit FAFSA-EFC
  • Describe your participation in community service, school activities, work experience, and sports
  • One page essay addressing “Your course of study, major field of interest and proposed occupation or profession you plan to follow”

Tony Budler Memorial Scholarship

  • Logan-Rogersville High School Student pursuing a College Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • National Honor Society Member
  • Member of at least one sports team during your High School career
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Active in community service or workforce

Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce $500 Scholarship 

  • Must be a Logan-Rogersville High School Senior with plans to attend a state-accredited college or university, with an emphasis on business
  • Must demonstrate involvement in school and community services
  • Must demonstrate proven academic achievement with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Must articulate plans to positively impact the Rogersville area

Logan-Rogersville PTA High School Senior Scholarship

  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Participation in school activities, community involvement, and scholastic achievement

Citizens Bank of Rogersville Scholarship

The application must be typed or printed in ink.
The scholarship candidate should complete the application and have it signed by a recommending instructor who teaches business, financial, or accounting classes at Logan-Rogersville High School.
One-time scholarships are in the amount of $1,200 each.
The scholarship will be awarded at the LRHS Awards Ceremony in May.
Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the winning candidate’s chosen university financial aid office in the name of the award recipient.

Logan-Rogersville Educational Foundation (William Breedlove Family Scholarship)

All seniors at logan-Rogersville High School who will graduate this May and will attend a vocational, trade, technical school, community college, or a university may apply.        

Logan-Rogersville Alumni Association Scholarship $1,000

Write why you feel deserving of this scholarship and any other information about yourself which might aid the committee in making its selection; for example financial need, area of study, career goal, or other scholarships that you are receiving.                                                                  

Exhibited good citizenship in the school environment and participated in extracurricular activities of some sort.

Matt Blount Memorial Scholarship 

  • This scholarship will be awarded to a member of the senior class pursuing a career path utilizing either math or science and a grade point average of at least a 3.0 out of a 4.0 GPA

Applicant must have participated in at least one school-sponsored activity such as a sport, band, student council, etc.​                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Logan-Rogersville Booster Club 

  • Must have been/or currently a member of a varsity sport at Logan-Rogersville High School
  • List achievements and honors received during high school
  • Booster Club will recognize and award a female & male athlete $500 each.

List organizations, clubs, and/or volunteer activities.

Rogersville Saddle Club Scholarship

  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 and above, also ACT score
  • Character, citizenship, and attendance

Particular consideration to those considering majoring in equestrian science, animal science, or veterinary medicine.                                                                                                                                                                 â€‹â€‹â€‹

Logan-Rogersville FFA Booster Club Scholarship

  • The student must be in the 12th grade at Logan-Rogersville High School.
  • The student must be planning to enroll in an accredited university or college for the following year.
  • The student must have been involved in the Logan-Rogersville FFA Chapter for at least one school year.
  • Application for this scholarship can be picked up in the (AG) building and will need to be 

Community Christian $.25 Store Scholarship  

  • The recipient for this scholarship should be in the A+ program and haven’t received any other scholarship
  • This is a $500 scholarship

R.D. “Rusty” and Win White Engineering or Special Education Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

The student must be in the 12th grade at LR High School
Students must be planning to enroll in an accredited university or college for the following year.
Students must have the sincere intent to study either Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, etc. or special education as a career goal.

Copper Rock Healthcare Memorial Scholarship

Copper Rock Healthcare Memorial Scholarship Fund might be of interest to Logan Rogersville High School. Copper Rock Healthcare would like to offer this opportunity to a senior student, who is college-bound and planning to enter a healthcare-related field or is a child of a Copper Rock employee. Attached is the required application that must be filled out and returned no later than.

Big 8 Conference Scholarship

Mission: The Big Eight conference stands united in offering mutual support towards academic achievent as well as extracurricular endeavors. The ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship, and character building are those deemed critical in the total development of youn adults.
